Trying To Crush Fines is Killing Production
Recycling asphalt isn’t like working with concrete. It’s full of sticky fines that do nothing but choke your crusher and grind production to a halt. When Eric started processing RAP, he figured the crusher’s built-in screen would be enough to get the job done. But once he started running asphalt at scale, the reality set in fast: without pre-screening, he was constantly clearing clogs, wasting fuel, and watching the clock instead of moving material. It wasn’t until Eric took a job with 33,000 tons to process and it became obvious: “if I wanted to stay competitive, it was time to get serious about screening.”
