Matthias Pichler is one of the best construction machinery technology apprentices in Austria. The 20-year-old from Linz is currently in the 4th year of his apprenticeship and finished 5th against tough competition in the national apprentice competition held by the Austrian Association of Construction Machinery Dealers (MAWEV) in Wels.

His assignments included turning, welding, filing, thread cutting, making a workpiece, searching for a fault in the hydraulics of an excavator, installing a distributor injection pump and testing various electrical components on a common rail. There was also a specialist subject test. Apprentice trainer Ralf Polenda is proud of his protégé: “The intensive preparations paid off. Matthias put so much effort into turning and welding, it was like watching a fireworks display!”

RUBBLE MASTER CEO Gerald Hanisch congratulated Matthias and had no doubt: “As an employer and apprentice-training company we are of course very proud of this achievement. It shows that our investment in the education and training of young, dynamic specialists is more than justified!”
