Building a reputation for producing high quality recycled aggregates
Investing in the Rubble Master RM80 compact crusher from Haulmark, one of Europe's largest suppliers of demolition equipment, has really opened new doors for leading aggregate, crushing and screening company Coldcarr Recycling Ltd.
Due to its power and versatility, the compact crusher has become a vital piece of equipment for the company, which specialises in the development and re-processing of rubble and other waste concrete.
The RM80 can process a wide range of materials enabling Coldcarr to take on demolition rubble jobs for asphalt and tarmac which they were unable to do with the jaw crushers they had been using. Now the company works with local authorities and county councils to re-produce all their maintenance highways arisings for redistribution around the country.
Coldcarr Recycling Ltd’s Managing Director Barry Morrisson says:
“We first took the RM80 on hire to trial and were very impressed – since then we have bought three from Haulmark. It’s a very well-built machine and has given us a lot more scope to process a range of materials. With this compact crusher, we are getting through about 100 to 120 tonnes an hour and it rarely blocks.
“People who haven’t seen the RM80 in action are always very impressed. We’re so pleased with its performance and the service from Haulmark over the last 5 years or so that we wouldn’t even consider changing. Even in these difficult economic times, we’re finding that we are still getting plenty of work coming in, and if it wasn’t for quality equipment like the RM80, we couldn’t consistently deliver our efficient, cost-effective service.”
Thanks to its excellent intake and crusher kinematics, the machine has a continuous high throughput, while a magnetic separator removes any metal contamination from the crushed material. It can be operated by one person and manoeuvred using a remote control, even in tight spaces and mountainous areas. The machine has also been rated highly by the Environmental Agency for minimal dust and low sound levels.
Managing Director Richard Yarwood at Haulmark Ltd comments:
“We first took on the Rubble Master compact crushers and screens in 1999 to meet an increasing demand from the recycling industry. Since then the demand has just grown and grown. These machines really meet the requirements of the recycling market - they can crush any aggregate material and the grain is a really high quality and can be produced in any size. ”
