The Problem of Cost Solved

Belgian Joel Devlieghere from Wingene has cornered a lucrative niche market: he specialises in acquiring old bricks for the construction of the traditional-style houses so popular in Belgium. He obtains the bricks by demolishing old houses, farms and castles. However, the high costs caused by the amount of broken brick and remnants of concrete curbed his profits.

Since the beginning of 2007 an RM60 has solved this problem by turning the debris into high-value cubic grain, most of which can be immediately reused for construction work on site, for example for access roads. The compact RM60, the entry model in the RM Compact Recycler range, weighing only 11 tonnes, can simply be carried to the building site on a hook-lift lorry. A pile conveyor carries the final grain either onto a final screen – to obtain the required grain size – or directly onto a lorry for removal to a nearby construction site. Thus the versatile impact crusher eliminates unnecessary transport and dumping fees by processing the material on site; here in the livery of Joel Devlieghere’s company.
