Efficient onsite recycling in cramped site in NYC
Cavaliere Onsite Recycling based in Stamford, Connecticut was contacted by Sano Construction for processing waste building material from the demolition of an apartment building in New York City. COR applied their RM80 Compact Recycler for crushing bricks, blocks, rock and concrete. The demand was to produce a ¾” minus material from approx. 4,000 us tons total in 4 working days. And especially to eliminate the need for removing the rubble by truck and importing new material.
This was a typical NYC block with the standard 30’ wide road with cars parked on both sides. So it was COR’s advantage to have a crusher that is compact enough to work on a cramped site – approx. 60’ x 70’ – with the rubble, the finished product and 2 excavators on site. In the New York area COR is facing a growing demand for quiet equipment like the RUBBLE MASTER Compact Recyclers with lower emissions – and in general for compact units able to deal with high levels of throughput producing an extremely valuable ¾” minus. At this site the final grain was reused as general backfill. And the RM80 was hauled off to another onsite application.
